Gretna Weddings

As well as other locations for photographing weddings, I also work in Gretna. Most weddings in gretna are shorter coverage of around an hour but some clients request much longer coverage on their wedding day.

Venues like Smiths, The Gables, Anvil Hall and Gretna Hall are equipped to cater for larger celebrations, catering for numbers into the hundreds. Nearby venues like Skitby House, Kirklinton Hall, Auchen, Hetland Hall, Springkell and The Mill Forge can also serve as large venues a little further afield.

For smaller celebrations where it may just be the two of you or a small gathering there are a few choices for where to get married:

The famous Blacksmiths
There are three marriage rooms available at the Blacksmiths, with the main room being the Old Forge. a room full or originality and character, made famous by countless documentaries and films. It’s a great location to choose for a small ceremony.

Gretna Hall
Another three rooms are availale for weddings here, The Courtyard, The Cottage and the Coach House, where you can marry in front of an original carriage from the days when runaways would head across the border to marry in secret.

Anvil Hall
Anvil Hall is an incredible venue and one of the only venues in Gretna that can cater for large and small numbers of guests. With some of the most incredible manicured grounds in town and an epic interior space, it is well worth consideration.
