Suppliers
Cumbria has a vibrant wedding industry, and couples will find a variety of local suppliers to assist with their big day. From florists and caterers to cake makers and entertainers, there are professionals experienced in creating outstanding weddings in Cumbria.
Engaging with local suppliers can provide couples with valuable insights and ensure a great wedding experience. I only recommend suppliers that I have worked with and know that their standard is the best available. Apologies to my friends and fellow suppliers in the south but the suppliers here will be ones based in the North only or this page would go on forever:
Videographers
AMB Vision: Their ability to add drone footage to a wedding day is worth noting and their productions worth applause. I love every wedding film I have seen from them.

Venues that are loved
These are some venues that I don’t get to as often as I would like but I love regardless. Some may not be in the Lakes but closer to home but I always get excited to photograph at them. They are flawless in my opinion. Been to a wedding venue a few times for friends and family weddings? Checkout some of these.
The Crown and Mitre Carlisle
One of the first venues I ever shot a wedding at and an amazing venue for a wedding in the centre of Carlisle. A lot of amazing memories have been made here.

Station Hotel Carlisle
A ballroom that has to be seen to be believed at the Station Hotel. The front facing rooms also have a view over the old courts. A firm favourite for photographing a wedding.

Broad Leys (Windermere boat racing club)
They only do a few weddings allocated throughout the year so you need to be on your toes to get a date for your day but it’s an impressive historic location for a wedding.

Briery Wood Windermere
I love this place and I have shot at least a dozen weddings there over the years. It’s beautifully set up for weddings and the guest rooms are very luxurious.

Beech Hill Windermere
With massive grounds and excellent food this is one of the Lake Districts best venues. If you go for a show round try the spa!

Low Hall Cockermouth
Holy smokes this is a brilliant venue. Fill it however you will with your celebration. I would love to photograph a lot more weddings here.

Leeming House Ullswater
I photograph here often and the hotel is exceptional throughout. Quiet, isolated and incredibly well equipped for weddings with the best afternoon tea you could imagine. If you would like to see one of my portfolios, please ask at reception.

Gilsland Hall (spa)
Gilsland Hall is a beautiful venue with grounds to match. I love this place–no, I really love this place. On rainy days, winter days and hot summer days it is a pleasure to work at. As it’s quite remote you will need transport to get there but with a plethora of rooms you can fit your whole wedding party with rooms to spare. Currently closed for a refit, I can’t wait for it to reopen.
There are stacks more wedding venues all over the county but I thought it important to highlight some of the ones that are incredibly well equipped and amazing.
