The Inn On The Lake is an old friend and favourite of mine that I have worked at since I started as a photographer where on my first wedding we were treated to an RAF flypast. The hotel itself needs little introduction, with lake views from the bridal suite, views towards Hallin Fell, the awesome receipton room, stilll with views towards the lake and a great bandstand for outdoor weddings. Even though Glenridding has it’s own little climate, a wet weather wedding there is rare.
Just around the corner is Ullswater Steamers with the choice of three large boats to take your wedding guests on an evening cruise between your wedding breakfast and your evening cerebrations. All the boats vary in size but from a photographers point of view, the Raven is a favourite.
Inn On The Lake is one that really has to be seen to be appreciated, Wedding Photographers love it, Brides and Grooms rave about it and the scenery for creative wedding photography is plentiful. Make it one of the venues to visit when looking to get married in the Lake District. If, for nothing else, the beer battered fish sandwich.
