Photographing at the Wordsworth takes me back to when I began as a photographer in the Lake District, right up to now. The proximity to Grasmere and access to some awesome views make it a great choice for weddings. I myself got married just down the road at the sister church to St Oswalds, St Marys in Rydal. Nearby is also the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden next to the river.
A visit to Faereyland is a must if you are wanting to grab some views from around the lake. Views from the foot of Silver How over towards Heron Pike are also a must. Faeryland is also great for a shot with a jetty if that ia must when getting married in Grasmere. Rydal Mount is also close by and Rydal Caves for the adventurous or a styled shoot to think about for engagement pictures.
The Wordsworth is well equipped with a large function room and also some bestirully manicured gardens looking out towards Helm Crag. The cocktails are amazing and the food is excellent, perfect for wedding guests wanting to stay on for a break. Photographers love this little corner in the lake district and the Wordsworth is the best equipped hotel inside the village for wedding celebrations.
